Ohagi

Ohagi is traditional snack in Japan.

We eat it in ohigan. Ohigan is a term which means 3days before Autumnal Equinox and 3days after it.

Ohagi includes Azuki bean, glutinous rice, sugar and salt. If you eat normal ohagi, you should eat glutinous rice with Azuki. But recently people eat glutinous rice with kinako or sesame, so why don’t you try to eat them too.

My mother and aunt always make it for me. It is so delicious. When I eat it, I’m always full because of the glutinous rice. However, it is sweet, so I can eat as snack.

Japanese believe ginger

Japanese believe ginger is good for health.

I believe that because when I drank ginger soup, I got warmer. Therefore I think it is good for person who has poor circulation.

Ginger has strong sterilizing properties, and promotes blood circulation. The component is in seven percent medicine which is used in hospital. Moreover, when it warm up, an effect is more, so when you have a cold, you should drink ginger soup.

My memories when I was child

When I was child, my family and I used to take our dog out for a walk every weekend. While we were walking, we talked to each other. We would often go to a park, and we played with our dog there. Moreover, we used to go on a picnic and have a BBQ with our dog. Back then, we had a lot of time to spend together.
However, these days we don’t have enough time to spend together because my sister and I have grown up, and we have to do our part-time-jobs, club activities and study.
I want to spend more time together, so I always eat dinner, go shopping and go on trips with my family.
